Placement Nepal Anti-Slavery Policy Statement
A Call to Action Against Modern Slavery
At Placement Nepal, we believe that every individual deserves to live and work with dignity and freedom. Modern slavery—encompassing slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor, and human trafficking—strips away these fundamental rights and exploits individuals for profit. This abhorrent practice has no place in our world, and it certainly has no place in our business.
Our Unwavering Commitment
We are unwavering in our zero-tolerance stance against modern slavery. Our pledge is not just a statement but a commitment to ethical excellence and integrity in every facet of our operations. We stand firm in our resolve to:
- Champion Transparency: We will maintain full transparency in our operations and in our efforts to eradicate modern slavery, fully aligning with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Demand Excellence: We expect our contractors, suppliers, and partners to meet our high standards, prohibiting forced, compulsory, or trafficked labor at all levels. Our goal is to create a ripple effect of ethical practices throughout our supply chain.

This policy is designed for everyone connected to Placement Nepal. Whether you’re an employee, director, officer, agency worker, volunteer, or a contractor, this policy applies to you. We are all in this together.

Support for Our Suppliers
We recognize that tackling modern slavery often requires collaboration and support. That’s why we offer guidance and assistance to our suppliers to help them eradicate exploitative practices in their own operations and supply chains. If you’re unsure whether a practice constitutes modern slavery, seek advice from your line manager or company Director.
Protecting Whistleblowers
We are committed to fostering a culture of openness and transparency. If you report a concern in good faith, you will not face retaliation or adverse consequences. Should you experience any detrimental treatment as a result of raising concerns, report it immediately. For employees, use our Grievance Procedure if needed.
Communication and Training
Our zero-tolerance policy will be communicated clearly to all new and existing team members, suppliers, and partners. Training on this policy is part of our induction process and will be updated as necessary.
Consequences for Policy Breaches
We take breaches of this policy seriously. Employees may face disciplinary action, including dismissal for misconduct. Relationships with external parties may be terminated if they fail to adhere to our standards.
